The Bradford camps offers the fly fisherman a chance at the best wild trout fishing in the Eastern U.S. Brookies up to four pounds can be caught on dry flies at certain times of the year on our waters. Landlocked salmon in Munsungan Lake are also caught on flies, either with casting or more usually by trolling.
Guides registered with the state will bring you to these fish in a hurry, and can keep the expert excited about the opportunities, and get the beginner onto fish in a day. They are personable and fun, and consider themselves your fishing friend, instead of your leader.
We are located on Munsungan Lake which is completely undeveloped with 12 miles of pristine shoreline. Guests can drive in to camp over the logging roads, or fly in by commercial floatplane right to our dock. All modern conveniences await you with private waterfront cabins, full baths, and a lodge serving all meals.

The Bradford Camps is one of Maine's oldest established sporting camps, dating back to the 1890's. We offer eight waterfront hand-hewn log cabins, complete with full baths, and a main lodge that serves sumptuous meals prepared fresh daily. We pride ourselves in our guide service, who will take you to waters for wild trout and salmon where trophies up to four pounds can be caught.
We are a charter member of the Maine Sporting Camp Association, and have any number of references for you to contact before choosing your destintation.
The setting is on Munsungan Lake: 1500-acres, 120 feet deep, and twelve miles of undeveloped shoreline. We are in the middle of the North Maine Woods, nearly unchanged since the visits of Thoreau and Roosevelt in the mid 1800's and early 1900's.

Northern Pride Lodge is located on scenic First Roach Pond at the head waters of the famous Roach River. The Roach river is Fly Fishing Only and catch and release fishing for trophy salmon and brook trout. This water is accesible by wade fishing and is in walking distance from the lodge. We also provide drift boat trips on the East Branch of the Kennebec river and the West Branch of the Penobscot river. These are fly fishing waters also and again we target landlocked salmon and brook trout. Enjoy a day of drifting beautiful fishing water, have a hearty shore lunch and return to the lodge at days end for fine lakeside dining accompanied by your choice of beer or wine. We also provide boat fishing trips to the area lakes trolling for lake trout, salmon and brooktrout.
